Started prenatal vitamins today -- question
I picked up the One Source prenatals today from Walmart -- they're smaller, so I dont have a problem swallowing them, but you have to take 2 a day. Since I need to take two, should I take them both at the same time, or would it be better to take one in the morning and one at night? Or does it even make a difference?

I have prescibed prenatals but it contains 2 pills. I take them both before bed....I can't see how OTC would be any different. I would just take them together this way you know it is done

I would try it out first... sometimes prenatals can cause indigestion and/or constipation... Also, are they a slow release vitamin or does it specify to take one with a breakfast and then with lunch (or something like that)? If not, try two, see how you feel and if all is good, stick with it???

The bottle doesnt specify when to take them. It just says to take 2 daily with a glass of water. If it upsets stomach, take with a meal.
I have a VERY sensitive stomach to begin with and I've heard that prenatals can cause stomach problems, so I was going to try to seperate the pills (hoping it wouldnt upset my stomach as much if I take them so far apart).

Re: Started prenatal vitamins today -- question
I would go that route then, if you have a sensitive stomach... I had the same problem with going over the counter and then my Dr. gave an Rx for Prenate DHA, which hasn't given me ANY trouble. I take it an hour before I eat (right when I get up) and I don't have any problems...
