starting baby food...
how did you do it? did you give them a new food a week or a new food each day? i've heard of moms doing both. i was thinking a new food each week so that she gets used to each food and i can watch for any allergic reactions but on the other hand i dont want her to get bored with the same thing every single day.
and also, whats your childs favorite stage 1 food (peas, carrots, bananas etc.)?

Re: starting baby food...
Just started DS on rice last week, did that for 4 days, then went to Oatmeal....didn't seem to fond of the oatmeal, so I started him on Rice and bananas the other day. HAven't done barley or mixed cereal yet.

Re: starting baby food...
I do a new food every 2-3 days approx. You dont want to do it each day because if they have a reaction you wont know which food caused it.
I made the mistake of starting after DS had his shots, he then was not himself for 2 days and honestly I didnt know what was causing it, the food or the shots. So I stopped waited a few days and then started again.
She wont get bored, actually when you introduce a new food some babies need a few times before they seem to enjoy it. DS however has enjoyed every food so far, (although peaches dont seem to agree) but he likes, applesauce, bananas, sweet potatos, pears, etc.

Re: starting baby food...
After doing cereal for a month, we moved onto baby food.
We did a new food every 3-4 days. Once you go 3 days with a food and there is no reaction, you can always come back to it to mix things up. For example, we started with sweet potato... 3 days, no reaction so we moved to butternut squash. I could still give sweet potato because I know there was no reaction to it. Here is the order we went in:
Orange vegetables (sweet potato, butternut squash, carrots) Green vegetables (peas, string beans) Fruits (applesauce, bananas, pears)
