Starting Gonal-F and Ovidrel on Monday..
Nervous and excited  We have waited a very long time for this 
So, what am I in for? Side effects?

The Ovidrel is for trigger right? Not taking them together.
How much Gonal-F do they have you on? Last cycle, I had a dull headache for about 3 days. This time, I'm on a higher doseage but my only side effect is that I'm a total beyotch!  DH is counting the days until no more Gonal!

Yes, I think so - for the trigger. I am so new to the meds  Oh no..I guess dull headache I can handle, beyotch oh no

I find acupuncture helps with the headache and beotchyness. After a few days stimming you will start to feel a little funny in lower abs area (as your ovaries get full). But nothing bad. And will stress it again, drink plenty of water and if you can stomach it, drink gatorade too.
Good luck. Like everything in life, even this can become routine.

Good Luck!
I just started Follistim, which is similar to
Gonal-F, a few days ago. I've had a slight headache but that's really the only side effect so far.

I am on a VERY low dose of gonal-f since Monday (my first cycle using it) and so far, not bad. The only symptom I'm feeling is slight bloat/cramping in my stomach. Totally tolerable....

I developed OHSS on Follistim which is that same as Gonal-F but my RE told me it was because I was PG. Unfortunately it ended in m/c. Watch out for bloating and loss of appetite. Those were signs of OHSS for me. Drink lots of fluids and take it easy.

Def. watch out for bloating and loss of appetite. I didn't get PG and I had OHSS, but I know if I had gotten PG they said it would've gotten even worse. GL!!!!

If you are taking them together..the Gonal-F is to stimulate the ovaries, the Ovidrel will control the stimulation...helps to prevent OHSS.
I was on this protocol for my last IVF cycle and it worked really well...lot's of eggs, no OHSS.
Side effects will be some cramping and bloat, and I would expect some moodiness...I tended to cry more easily while stimming.
