Re: Starting The Fat Flush Plan Tomorrow!
I typed this out for a friend, so here it is for anyone who wants to try it out before buying the book:
Lean Protein- Daily Intake: Up to 8 ounces per day. Choose From: All varieties of fish, seafood, lean beef, veal, lamb, skinless turkey or chicken and whey. Use organic or grass-fed meatwhenever possible. Choose lactose-free, high protein whey powders with about 20 grams of protein per serving and negligible carbohydrates. Consume tofu and/or tempeh up to two times per week.
Eggs- Daily Intake: Up to two per day.
Vegetables- Daily Intake: Unlimited (unless otherwise noted) raw or steamed. Choose From: Asparagus, green beans, broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, Chinese cabbage, carrots(1), cucumbers, daikon, eggplant, spinach, escarole, collard greens, kale, mustard greens, romaine lettuce, arugala, radicchio, endive, parsley, onions, chives, green and red bell peppers, jicama, mushrooms, olives(3), radishes, mung bean sprouts, okra, alfalfa sprouts, tomatoes, watercress, red or green loose leaf lettuce, zucchini, yellow squash, water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, garlic.
Fruits- Daily Intake: 2 whole portions daily. Choose From: 1 small apple, 1/2 grapefruit, 1 small orange, 2 medium plums, 6 large strawberries, 10 large cherries, 1 nectarine, 1 peach, 1 cup of berries (buleberries, blackberries or raspberries).
Cranberry Water Daily Intake: 8 glasses per day. How To: To prepare cranberry water, purchase Knudsen's, Trader Joe's or Mountain Sun's Unsweetened Cranberry Juice. Then get two empty 32-oz bottles. Fill each bottle with 4 oz or unsweetened cranberry juice and 28 oz of water. Don'y get the the "no sugar added" cranberry juice, it can't be sweetened with ANYTHING.
Long Life Coctail- Daily Intake: Taken 2 times daily: on arising and before bed. How To: In 6 ounces of the cranberry water, add either 1 full teaspoon of powdered psyllium husks or 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseeds. (Personally, I could NOT drink this with either of those two things, I just take the psyllium husk pills from GNC, in the book it says that this is okay too.
Herbs and Spices- Daily Intake: To taste Choose From: Cayenne, dried mustard, cinnamon, ginger, dill, garlic, anise, fennel, cloves, bay leaves, coriander, parsley, cilantro, apple cider vinegar, cumin.
Vitamins and Supplements Daily Intake: I follow the directions on the bottle to avoid confusion. List: Evening Primrose Oil, Flaxseed Oil, Psyllium Husk, Dandelion Root, Milk Thistle, Chromium and L-Carnitine.
Also before breakfast, drink a cup of hot water with the juice of 1/2 a lemon or lime sqeezed in it.
