Starting to worry about my ds any words of advice appreciated...
My ds went for his well visit on nye, perfectly fine weighed 21lbs 2oz. He had an ear infection starting on Saturday january 3rd( well thast when he was diagnosed)and he had a bad cough but told itwas just a drip no strep or infection. He was put on amoxillian. Still very cranky went back on wednesday 1/7 had an ear infection in the other ear, still had a drip no infection lungs still clear. . Changed meds to another type of antibiotics. Friday he strats getting diareah. Take him back saturday he has bronchitis. Told to come back monday and recheck. I go back yesterday he has lost 1lb 5oz. Thast 5% of his body weight. My dh is taking him back today and if he lost more he is goign on an IV
He has always been a reflux baby but was doign so well the last few months Since about saturday the 3rd he was throwing up a lot. We just figured it was bc he was coughing so hard that he was making himself throw up. Then we when he got diareah we figured maybe it was a stomach bug causing teh vomitting. Now he has no diareah and wants to eat but still throws up. Dh gave him a warm bottle this mornign and he dranks 5 oz of it and as he was drinking threw it all up. I am at a losss. I dont even know what I am looking for here just needed to vent.
ETA: he lost 3 more oz. Sent home told to come back at 3pm if he looses more in that time and continues to throw up he is going to the hospital!

DS just got over a stomach virus, croup, and an ear infection... all at about the same time. This season is terrible and there are so many kids fighting these horrible viruses.
I hope your son feels better soon! I know how hard it is on him and on you!

Is he being weighed on the same scale by the same person each time? I've taken DD to the ped's office a few times during the same week when she has been sick....everytime we are put into a different exam room on a different scale and a different nurse takes her weight. We've had issues in the past with knowing that the weight they said was off and asked the dr. to re-weigh her (and we were right).
Hope it's nothing serious and your DC is starting to feel better!

No advice just hope he gets better I wonder if it's maybe dehydration that could be causing the weight loss? I am sure your DR is checking for all these things

i hope he feels better soon! could some of the throwing up be related to teething? DD has reflux and has been throwing up more lately and it is quite a bit. I've read that reflux can do that to them!
