state tax refund question

i just received my state tax check in the mail.. BUT it has my old last name.. do you think it will be a problem??

or can i just bring my old license, marraige cert.. or even SS card ??

i hope it wont be a problem.. yuck

i assume that you had changed your name with your bank to your married one? they should have your maiden name on record.

i don't think it would be a problem---but it not just bring something like your marriage certificate that shows your maiden name

Just make sure you endorse it with your maiden name and it will be fine.

The name on the check has to match the endorsement. Then they dont give a hoot who acutally cashes it. My dad used to deposit my checks in his account and then give me cash when I was in college and my checking account was at a local bank near my school instead of near my parents house.
