Staticy hair

Ok girls.. I need a remedy... I have salon hair in the morning, then I get on the train with the heat pumped to like 150 degrees, then I walk to work in the cold... by the time I get into my office.. my hair is soo staticy I look like a nut job.

So.. anyone have any remedies for static free hair? Aside from spraying static guard in my hair ofcourse.. because I HATE the smell of that stuff!

I don't have this issue but I've HEARD that if you carry a dryer sheet with you (like Bounce) and rub it on your hair, it totally kills that static.

You can also put a little bit of regular lotion (hand lotion) in your hands and just coat your hair with it - smells pretty too! Chat Icon

Ditto! and I just recently got it cut into layers and the static is NO JOKE! It's weird because when I wear it wazy/curly I don't have the problem.. I swear it's a result of the blow drying and ironing....

Re: Staticy hair

I have used spray on leave in conditioner and that seems to do the trick - I like the Herbal Essence one and I have also used Potion 9 by Sebastian (not a spray).

I use the dryer sheet on my clothes but have never tried it on my hair - I don't really want my hair to smell like laundry.

So I just went to Ricky's and got a leave in conditioner by Mop.. smells fantastic..

and After-Party by Bed Head... smells even better.

I just used the Bed Head stuff and it seems to have WORKED... for now at least..

Thanks so much for the suggestions everyone!! Chat Icon Chat Icon
