They can stay a little past visiting hours but then they have a guard that comes around and will kick the remaining people that stayed behind out.

During the grandparents visiting hour, the baby is in your room so they can hold them. But from 7-8pm during the general visiting hour, ALL babies are locked in the nursery. People can see them thru the windows.

At first I thought I'd hate this too, but it was CHAOS with all of the people allowed in the hospital at that time to see the babies, baby would have been exposed to a lot of germs & other people, so it worked out well actually.

And I agree, they will kick people out when visiting hours are over, they're pretty good about it.

They are very strict. They will come around and kick everyone out. They won't bring the babies out until all visitors have left.

Re: st.charles

Usually they can get away with getting there a little before 2 and they can get away with a little after 4.
During that time, the baby is allowed in the room.
And to let you know as strict as people say they are with who is allowed in - it really wasn't true in my case.
Lets just say, I probably had about 15 people in my room Chat Icon
DH comes from a HUGE family - so they all came!! I must say - even though, I only had gotten back to my room at about 12-12:30 - it was fun!
About the guard, he usually got everyone to leave at about 4:15-4:20 ish.

At night, I had soooo many more people. At night the guard is a little more stricter (is that a word Chat Icon ), and he gets everyone out except DH, which stayed for a while. And with getting the DH's out - they weren't strict at all.
