Steak Places - better then outback, not Ruth Chris
Is there a middle ground for steak?
Something better then outback but not as fancy/$$ as Ruth Chris/Tellers/etc.

I haven't been there in years but Murtha's in Bohemia (I think) was really good. I just recently went to Tango in Brentwood and the steaks were delicious.

I second majors in east meadow! Their Colorado steak is great if you like shallots and garlic.

Murtha's really went downhill. The place smells funny and the steak was borderline terrible when we were there last year.
I actually like J&R Steakhouse. It's not fancy - but it's good steak cooked to your specs. And it's a great price. I've never really had the seasoned or marinated choices.. I like a nice plain steak with salt & pepper and maybe a little granulated garlic. They do a fine job.

We like J&R too but prefer the ones in Rocky Point and Medford, not fond of the Stonybrook one, but JMO
