Steamboat Inn, Mystic Ct...

Thanks to DanielleandScott...i booked a little mini getaway with dh in february. This hotel has great reviews and is sooo pretty from the pics. I can't wait to relax, look out the window at the view, and sit by the fireplace... it will b dh's bday too. I'm so excited..thanks again danielleandscott for your recommendation!!!

Hey Scott...we got room 2...the mystic one...I spoke to diane (older lady at first) but then we got disconnected and when i called back I assume it was Katie...not sure though. You can't beat 150 per night!!!
although the aquarium and seaport are closed...im sure we will have a relaxing time anyway. we are lookin forward to it..thank u so much for your suggestion!

The aquarium is closed? why? Make sure you go to old mystic to shop

my mom was wrong..she said she read it somewhere but i'm on their website and it is open ...ok ill definetly check out that shop

Is it better to purchase tickets online or when we get there? Online it is 24 dollars

We've been to mystic in the winter and the shops and aquarium were open. It was very relaxing. you can go into town and (on the weekend at least) the shops are open to. We ate lunch at the famous Mystic pizza and got ice cream next to the bridge. We sat inside and watched the bridge open and close, it was kinda neat.

We also drove over to foxwoods, it was about 15 mins away and had a really nice dinner.

Mohegan sun is 15 mins away to and both offer shows at nite.

Did you book any of the specials or did you book just the room? I am not sure if you are going during the week or on a weekend, but they offer packages which include admission to the aquarium as well as dinner at one of the restaurants.

That week is Presidents week...so the package deals do not work. I figure we will just lay low... hang out... go to the shops, prob the aquarium, maybe foxwoods or mohegan sun, and do a nicce dinner around there. I remember the restaurant you told me about (Daniel something inn) ..im lookin forward to it....
I think we can see the bridge from our room :)

Daniel Packer inn. You are going to have a great time. You are on the second floor probably near where they have the breakfast - so you will get to enjoy the smells of the muffins being made yummmmmy.

....Oh yeah. We have been there twice since......Love the steam boat inn.

There is also a really good restaurant/pub right near the inn called voodoo. The food was really good and they also had entertainment. They had a band perform the night we were there.
