Step 2 / Little Tikes Picnic Table

Do your kids actually eat at a Step 2 / Little Tikes Picnic Table outside in the summer?

I am on the fence with buying one, because I feel like DS will constantly be climbing up to our table anyway. He will be about 2 1/2 this summer...

What do you think? Waste?

Yes, my children sit at the table and eat. Also, when we have other children over it's very useful. I have a 4.5 year old and a 2 year old.

ETA: It's also nice when we BBQ and have other adults at the big table because then we also have a kiddie table.

Yes, it come in handy when we have other kids over. I've even brought it in the house on occasion when we have other little ones over.

Last year we bought the square little tikes table that seats 8 kids and comes with an umbrella. I like it because benches collapse so it is easy to store.

When it is just the 4 of us the kids don't really use it, they rather sit with us and eat which is fine, but when we have more children they sit and it is great. We have also brought it inside for when we have a lot of adults over and need room for my nieces and nephews (there 6 under the age of 6).

Before this table we had the Step 2 sandbox with the attached table and nobody ever climbed it.
