Stepping out of your comfort zone for a new position....
If you were well established in your current position - meaning, you could do it well, practically in your sleep, and were then offered a job (somewhere new - a new company) where it required a lot of your current skills but a lot of skills you need to work on, would you take it? I'm not saying skills that are out of your ability, but areas you haven't delved into but probably could if you made a huge effort....
Especially if they didn't flinch when you asked for a certain salary, benefits, amd vacation package?

Yes, in a heartbeat! A new challenge is great and the fact that you will be nicely compensated is a huge motivation.
Once you establish yourself in the new position you will be that much more marketable for the next challenge.

Go for it! Especially regarding what you have written about your current employer.

Same here. Also, for the right salary, opportunity and (most importantly for me) time off- i would definitely consider the position.

Yes..i would.
sometimes being able to do a job in your sleep leads to complacency (not to say thats you or your situation..just from my own experience.)
sounds like a great opportunity.

Yes - take the plunge! I just did, and am nervous but excited, and can't wait for new challenges (after 7 years at the same job).

Re: Stepping out of your comfort zone for a new position....
It would depend on where I was at in my life. If the rest of my life was relatively settled and I wanted to take on a new challenge I would take it in a heartbeat. Becoming complacent is not something I enjoy and even when I have stayed at a company for a number of years, I needed to have a great deal of change, promotions, moves to different divisions/departments in order to keep me happy.
