Stepping stones/walkway

I need to put some sort of stepping stones to create a walkway to get from where my driveway ends, to the gate to my yard, which is about 7/8 feet. Where is the best place to find something to put down?

Re: Stepping stones/walkway

Do you want something formal, and very organized like paving stones, do you want something informal, like flat stepping stones just placed on the ground, or do you want an informal continuous surface, like gravel or seashells?
It sounds like you don't want something like concrete or blacktop.

Thanks for responding.

My DH is not handy at all. Since it's a small area, we want to just buy a few stepping stones and hopefully that will do the trick. It is just the area from where the driveway ends, until you get to the gate to the yard. It is dirt there and when I bring the garbage pail in and out, if it is damp, I get mud of my feet. I would do more if DH was handier, but he is not at all, so trying to do something as easy as possible.

The easiest thing is to go to HD or Lowes and get their large stepping stones and just lay a couple down to make a path.

They have resin ones, too. The resin ones have a little flexibility, so you don't need a perfect base underneath them.

These 12x12 ones are about $1.50 each....
