Re: sterlizing bottles
relax....I boiled the nipples ONCE before the first use. I washed the bottles with warm soapy water before first use, and do so after each use, unless the dishwasher is ready to go, then they get thrown in there!
Never had a sterilizer. Also, boil her pacifiers before first use.
You'll be fine...take it one day (or even one hour) at a time!
I LOVE her name too!

Re: sterlizing bottles
My ped told me to sterilize everything for the first month. I didn't though. I boiled everything before first use and now I just wash in hot soapy water. The water in my house is so hot that it burns my hands even through the gloves so I feel comfortable doing it this way.

Re: sterlizing bottles
same here, I sterilized for maybe the first 3 weeks with the microwave thing, and then just the dishwasher if it's about to be run....otherwise hot soapy water!

Re: sterlizing bottles
I sterlize every part to the bottle including the nipple covers every night after he goes to bed. It was a pain in the beginning because I was sterlizing breast pump parts after each time I used them (dont ask me why) so when DH got home it was his job, if my mom was over she did it. Now that Luka is 9 weeks old I only do it once a day and it is so much easier (he is also on formula so I dont have as many things to clean). It will get easier. My mother thinks I am nuts for sterlizing it everyday.
