Still feeling very bloated and uncomfortable
Is this normal to feel this way 2 days after retrieval? I'm worried that I might get hyperstimulation. How do you know? I'm just surprised my RE doesn't have me come in to examine me and check that I'm ok. Is this normal that you don't go in until transfer? Will they even check for OHHS at transfer?
The main thing is I am EXTREMELY bloated and I still have abdominal pain. I am not really nauseous though. I am drinking about 60 oz of water/day and am sending DH out for garotade.
Any insight is greatly appreciated:)
TIA:)

Re: Still feeling very bloated and uncomfortable
I get VERY bloated after ER from the anesthesia...it binds me
Do you know how high your estradiol was around retrieval? If it was that high, you should be monitored. The gatorade is good! Drink up!
They do check you before tx...they should take your temp and bp.
Feel better

Re: Still feeling very bloated and uncomfortable
Thanks Lisa. This may sound like a silly question but if you have OHHS will that affect bp & temp?
They didn't mention what my estradil was but I'm thinking if it was high they would be monitoring me...don't you think?
TIA:)

Yes, I felt very bloated and sore for a few days, about 3-4 days after the retrievel.

I'm not sure, I never even get close to OHSS...I'm at the other end of the spectrum But, at the clinics I've been to the nurses always ask how you are feeling, so let them know that you still are very uncomfortable...
Are you having a guided transfer?

Not sure what exactly a guided transfer is?

Re: Still feeling very bloated and uncomfortable
Its when they do the transfer using u/s...some clinics just automatically do it, some you have to request it.
The reason I asked was b/c if you are having a guided tx and you are overstimming, they should see it on there.

Re: Still feeling very bloated and uncomfortable
yup...i think that's what i'm having. they told me to drink water so that my bladder pushes my uterus up so they can see it on the sonogram so i guess it is a guided transfer.
Thanks Lisa:)
