still have this sore throat...going to OB tomorrow
So, I still have a pretty bad sore throat and cough since last Wednesday. It's gross, but I dont have a fever and aside from the cough generally feel fine.
Anyway, I am taking a 1/2 day tomorrow so I can go to the OB and (hopefully) hear the HB of this LO for this first time!!
Do you think the OB could look in my throat and tell me if i need to see my PCP? Considering I dont have a fever and shouldnt be self-medicating, I've just been trying to eat/drink/sleep well. And now with taking off time from work for the OB, I dont really have time to take off to go to the DR just "in case".
I know this sounds stupid. But what do you think?

Honestly even your PCP won't do anything. If you do nto have any other symptoms then they will tell you to jsut stick it out.

thanks for the response! This is the main reason I haven't called my PCP to get checked out. My only concern is that the cough has been going on since Wednesday. I was afraid of maybe strep or a sinus infection. But again, unless it absolutely necessary, i do not want to take any extra drugs. I havent even taking tylenol.

Could it be acid reflux?? I had it really bad with this pregnancy and had both a sore throat and cough which I thought was due to my allergies complicated by possibly strep...turned out to be a bad case of reflux.
