Still haven't cashed in on my birthday trip...what all-inclusives can we go to in Oct/Nov?
I know the Caribbean has hurricane season into November, so where else can we go? With us looking for jobs and moving in the next few months, we want to hold off on going. I want some place that will be REALLY WARM in November so that I can enjoy the water!
Thanks

We went to the Excellence in Playa Mujeres in November for our HM and it was awesome we loved it. If you do a search on here you will find many rave reviews

So Mexico is safe? Because I've heard that people got shot at a resort.

really?
Well we felt perfectly safe there. Obviously look into it but I am usually from the POV that things happen EVERYWHERE, kwim? So I wouldnt not go somewhere bc of an isolated incident...

I second EPM and agree about feeling safe there. The resort has 3 security gates you have to go through just to get in.
Aruba is also outside the hurricane belt.

Does it have to be all inclusive?
Hawaii is perfect then and always. I'd recommend it over the Caribbean and Mexico in october/november.
I've been to mexico and the caribbean in november and it was rainy and the water was on the cold side.

I would definitely prefer an all-inclusive. How about Antigua? Anyone been there in Oct/Nov?

Aruba is out of the hurricane belt and is beautiful all year long. The Riu is all inclusive and i heard was awesome!

I would recommend Aruba, but NOT the RIU.
We stayed there last November and I swear the bed was the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on (or should I say tried to sleep on!).

Oh sweeet JESUS I totally agree about Excellence Playa Mujeres. My sister and I went there (even though it's more about couples but she's single and my DH had to work lol)... Anywho, it was PHENOMENAL. The food was as good as the five star resorts I went to on my HM, the beach was UNREAL, the pools were great -- the whole place is brand new and it was the best vaca I have EVER EVER EVER been on.
I cannot wait to take DH back.
Literally.... cannot wait!

I also vote for Aruba! Aruba doesn't get hurricanes. We went there on our HM in August 2006 and stayed at the Renaissance, which was all-inclusive. It's not where all the high-rise hotels are but it does have an indoor shopping mall and it's own private island...the boat picks you up from INSIDE the hotel. The restaurants were amazing, rooms were beautiful, staff very courteous.

Thanks, everyone! I think we are going to go with Aruba since it sounds great, and is the best bet for the Fall.
