Still waiting for IEP...
My son's annual review was in early March and I still don't have a copy of his IEP... in the past I usually have gotten it a month later. I emailed the district who told me that it was not ready yet. Just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced a delay like this w/ your district.

They only have a certain number of days to send depending upon your state. What does your CM say is the reason for the delay? I am given mine before leaving the meeting to make reviamsion notes with and have 15 days to return. Then they have 15 days to reply. Entire process for us is fast. I can call and have phone meetings with changes made that day.

Still waiting for IEP...
Is it for next year? They don't have to give it to you until 1 day before the start date of the new IEP. So if it is for next year, you won't get it until sometime over the summer, maybe even end of August.
You get it quicker if there is a change to the IEP during the school year bc, again, you are supposed to get it right before the start of the new plan.

Also wanted to add that yes- this is common for all districts at this point in the year. They don't fully finish them to send out until after the school year ends.

My son gets summer services so the IEP effective date would be July 1st. I would hope I'd have it before then! No reason was given to me when I emailed, just that it's not ready yet. I will follow back up this upcoming week.

We only had our CSE on May 22. My son receives summer services as well. In the past we have made revisions up until the week before summer services without interuption.

So I emailed the district again yesterday for an update, and no reply yet. I did find out from my son's home therapist that she was able to see the IEP electronically and it was riddled with mistakes so she said the school (my son attends a private special education school) was going to contact the district to correct the mistakes. Who knows when I will get it now...

Still waiting for IEP...
Hey I just got the IEP just for the summer for my son. Nothing yet for the next year, so maybe urs will come in soon

my CPSE meeting was may 8th and i just received it last week. so if yours was march, you should have it by now.

Thanks all. I finally received it two weeks ago after asking the district. Then I found a mistake which had to be rectified quickly since summer session started today.... still don't know what took so long!
