stomach fat or my uterus?

anyone know how long it takes for your uterus to get back to its normal size after giving birth? Thats what im blaming my lingering belly on, but then again it might be because of halloween candy!!

Your uterus should be back down by the 6 week mark I would think. The rest of your belly, muscles, organs take longer to get back where they were.

If you're less than 5 months pp, I would say it's regular post partum baby fat. Unless of course you're eating Halloween candy at the same rate I am, then it's both.

I'm 4 weeks pp, but I think its the candy! I like the idea of not knowing for sure until 6wks. that gives me 2 more weeks to finish the candy

You are 4 weeks - I bet it is stretched out skin taking time to shrink back into shape. I am 3 mos and still have that and hate it. I know with my first it took some time for it to go away (of course I didn't do a darned thing to help it go away) but after time it shrunk back and tighten up somewhat. I would say by 6 mos it looked a lot better.

it takes longer than 4 weeks for your uterus to go back. I think its between 8-12 weeks and it will be back to its normal size.
My son is 3 months and although my uterus is back to its normal size, nothing else is

Hmmm...I'm not sure - I had heard it was 6 wks but at almost 10 wks pp my belly still lookks 4 mos pregnant - and its not like chubby loose fat either - sorry for the tmi but, it really does look pg! I'm so hoping it is the uterus but I fear this is the new me
