stomach virus...
how long do they last?? i have been sick for days. i am not throwing up anymore but i am naseau and just feel blah  any tips on what to do???

I had it last Sunday and was very sick (if ya know what i mean) for about 8 hours. I slept for the next day and a half and was nauseaus/had no appetite for about 3-4 days after that. Honestly, yesterday (Saturday) was when I really started feeling normal again. Almost a week later!
This bug was BAD - much worse than the 24-hr bugs I've had in the past. Unfortunately I don't think there's anything to do but wait it out and try to drink a lot of fluids. You will feel better soon!! Hang in there!! 
ETA: I posted almost the exact same post as you a few days ago! I was just so desperate to feel better. I know exactly how you feel!

I got it Sunday and felt blah until Thursday.
DS got it as well and felt blah for about a week. It's horrible.

I got it last Sunday...was actually taken by ambulance to the hospital...they had me on zofran, morphine for the head and neck pain I had which was severe, and something else to calm my tummy. For some reason when I get a stomach virus I get it BAD....I was eventually sent home with Zofran for the nausea. It is a week later and I still get some nausea and don't have a huge appetite back yet. DH and my mom got it, but they had a very mild case of it.
Plus side though....lost 7 pounds from that nasty virus!!
Feel Better!!! Get lots of rest!

My vomiting only lasted the one night, but my tummy didn't want food for 2 days. DH was sick for only one day too, but his not wanting to eat lasted for about 4 days.

My son had one and stopped vomiting after 2 days, but he didn't eat or drink much at all for well over a week. I wondered how he stayed hydrated frankly.
So it might take awhile. Feel better!

Zofran is a miracle drug and I am so thankful for it. I too had to be taken by ambulance when I got that nasty bug last year. I was so nauseated it felt like dying. Ugh! If you can get a prescription for it, take it to calm the nausea. You still won't have a real appetitie for a few weeks.

The one I had last month lasted me an entire week. DS has one at the moment and we're on day 3. Hope you feel better soon!

I have it right now 
My DS and DH had it last week - it lasted 5 days for DS  and 3 days for DH. I'm at work anyway, but this needs to STOP - i can barely function. I feel so weak, I'm dreading carrying my son to the car from the babysitter's door.
