Stomach Virus
Is there a stomach virus going around? I have felt terrible all day. I threw up a lot before, have a headache, a slight fever and chills. I called the doc office, but they are closed for the day. I was wondering if I should call the emergency service.

Yes, I believe there is something going around. I know that they were talking about a stomach virus on LIW.

Careful, I also heard something about the water, apaprently there was some contamination and they encouraged the young, elderly and pregnant to boil their water to drink, cook, etc. Last night on channel 5 they said any stomach ailments, fever or rashes should be reported. I don't mean to put you into a panic because if there is a stomach bug going around it could well be what you have, but have you had any tap water?

My son, DH and I all had a bad stomach virus early last week...it was AWFUL. Luckily, the bad stuff only lasted a couple of days.

I hope you feel better. Thereis soomething going aroundme office as well. I woke up with strep yesterday. My throat was killing me, and I didn't know what I could take. I went to the Doctor and they gave me anitbotics. Hope it gets better soon.

If you have a fever you should definitely have the doctor's answering service page him. If you don't hear from him, you should go to the emergency room to be safe.
