How is it? Or Should I stick to brand ?

I'm a brand snob when it comes to baking.
I'll use Cabot, Land o Lakes or Breakstones. But it when it goes on sale and stockpile it in the freezer.
You can always try a small batch of something to see how the S&S butter works. It could be a brand name, just packaged as private label for S&S.

i've used strore-brand butter and have never noticed such a difference that i would purposely stay away from it

Although I never used the S&S brand I do use the Costco and Pathmark butter when I bake. Basically whatever is on sale - no issues here.
