Re: Stop and shop organic brand
Be careful with Nature's Promise.
Last year I inquired as to where some of the frozen vegetables were grown and most were grown in CHINA
Knowing the amount of pollution China has produced in their quest to be an industrial power, not to mention their completely corrupt political system, I just can't see how any area of China could be considered fit by organic standards. I suspect their ability to call their products "organic" was a rubber stamp tied to their "most favored nation" trading status. Makes me wonder.
So many of the Olympic athletes couldn't even train or practice in China due to the air pollution. Many spent as little time as possible there.
If you have a Trader Joe's near you they have most of the same items and they denote the area of origin, mostly Canada or California, on their organic produce. Fairway can also tell you where their fresh organic comes from.
Just a friendly PSA, thought people should know

I completely agree with this. I try to buy products grown/made in the USA whenever possible, esp. organics.
