Stop biting!
OK, so DS is 8 months old today. He has 5 teeth and is biting me like crazy!
When I pick him up, he will put his head down on my shoulder and bite, he will bite my neck, arm, whatever he can get his adorable little mouth on. It's starting to HURT!
Any suggestions on how I can get an 8 months old to stop biting me????

Re: Stop biting!
I have nursed 3 children and the only thing that ever got them to stop biting me was to scold harshly yet lovingly, and change the situation so they know that biting will not give them the hugs/closeness they want. NO BITE!

Re: Stop biting!
my dd will be 8m on 22 and i see her starting to do this, she doesnt have teeth yet. The other thing she does is pulling my hair and pinching. I know shes aware of what shes doing b/c when i say no no to her she gives me a look like who you telling no too.
Good Luck, i know i was no help but wanted to let you know your not alone.

Thanks... sometimes just knowing you are not alone feels better!!!
And just wait until the teeth come in... the bites are very painful

Re: Stop biting!
Caden doesnt bite..but he does grab and pinch. I just tell him to "do nice" and very firmly say NO.
He's just testing things out...

Re: Stop biting!
Amanda, I wish I had advice for you! As I'm pretty sure I told you, that was why I stopped nursing Jeremy at 9 mo. He actually drew blood once and I couldn't continue I just hope that little guy figures out that mommy is not a chew toy and you are able to continue longer than I was!
