Stop Watch Question
Is there a stopwatch out there that will go off at different intervals?
I want to try the Couch to 5k plan and don't want to do it on a treadmill, so I need something to go off at 60 seconds then 90 seconds, and other intervals.
Any suggestions or advice?

Re: Stop Watch Question
I have a timex and have no idea how to work the intervals...so if you figure it out let me know!
I do know how to time intervals, not the other way around...not sure if that makes sense.

Re: Stop Watch Question
you just need to go to inttmr mode (using the mode button) then hit set and use the same basic procedure as you do for setting the time. just keep in mind though that if you only want 2 minutes say it should look like this 00:02:00. i didn't realize it was set for two hours at first and i was waiting and waiting for the beep.
the only annoying this is that when you want to use it during a workout you need to start that timer and then go to chrono mode and start that if you want to keep track of your total time. so it's a lot of button pushing and you'll be off by a second or two.
hope that helped.

Thank you!
Now after that two minutes is up...if you hit the center button does it start again? I guess I can test it out.

Re: Stop Watch Question
the way i have mine set is interval one is 2 minutes and interval two is 3 minutes. i use this for speed workouts so 2 minutes is my speed duration and 3 is my recovery duration. so once you hit start at the beginning of the workout it'll just keep repeating 2 mins, beep, 3 mins, beep etc until you stop. not sure what happens if you only have one interval set...i imagine it'll just beep every 2 minutes.

Re: Stop Watch Question
for anyone doing the couch to 5k and has an ipod - this dude made some podcasts where he tells you when to run and when to walk. A lil cheesey (trance techno mixes) but soooo much nicer than having to check your watch especially in the beginning when the intervals are super short. couch to 5k podcast
You can also make intervals on your ipod and use it as a stop watch sorta deal (but with music!) interval how to

Thanks! I don't have an iPod yet, but I'll bookmark this for when I finally get one.
I told DH to buy me the interval watch for my birthday
