This is exactly how I feel! People have to stop going along with this insanity and start speaking up. The news media needs to start highlighting exactly what you are saying! The narrative has to change. It’s almost like people are brainwashed at this point I don’t understand it at all.

I actually think the high vaccination rates are one of the main reasons the cases are so high. People buy into the narrative and they are living like they are immune when they are not instead of being aware they can get and spread covid almost just the same now. What I see in my real life every day is mind boggling. People going to big events, maskless, socialising etc with a sore throat because they are fully vaccinated with the booster even and thinking they can’t possibly have covid only to wake up the next morning with full blown symptoms and testing positve. Then they turn around and say “but I am fully vaccinated” as if it’s some rare fluke but in light of what’s really going on (not what Biden and hochul want people to believe) it’s just stupidity at this point. Every day I hear someone else I know fully vaccinated with symptomatic covid and they all caught it from another vaccinated person. Teens and adults alike. I don’t say anything except on here but like you, I truly feel like I am in the twilight zone.

I’m also not even believing any more that 6 months out the shot guarantees you will not get as sick. In real life I am seeing whether vaccinated or not it seems to be pretty random how sick you get. I have seen vaccinated totally healthy friends more sick and take longer to recover then unvaccinated. But this is all in the 40’s age group without underlying issues so who knows. I don’t know what to believe anymore honestly! But one thing I know for sure is that if we keep going along like this, fighting the pandemic with a vaccine that doesn’t work and shoving the lies down people’s throats - we will never get past this. I hope people respond to hochuls post you refer to , in mass, with “this makes no sense! I am fully vaccinated and have covid, I got and can spread it”.

I found the post and most people are saying it makes no sense thankfully as it doesn’t (it’s on the same post as the new mandate).

A place that requires people to be fully vaccinated can have spread… and it’s more likely for spread to happen at a place like a catering hall with fully vaccinated people unmasked than at a supermarket with some people unmasked.

But still then, there are no super spreaders happening at sporting events or parties or bars, etc.

I know of a couple of events that had a decent sized spread. One was when my friend went to an outing in October and 15 people ended up with Covid after.

Haven’t heard of any in the news which they live for things like this.

Once again Covid is a virus just like every other viruses can and will go from person to person. Stay home if you are sick and get tested. We need to move on from there.

Prob because the majority of people getting it at these events are vaccinated so it doesn’t fit their narrative.

True. Got to blame all the unvaccinated. Those horrible, selfish people.

"The more scientists have learned about the virus, the more they have moved away from concept of herd immunity -- the idea that the virus will one day be stopped in its tracks when enough people are immune.

Instead, scientists agree that some mild breakthrough cases are still likely to happen, even among the vaccinated. In a world where almost everyone was vaccinated, COVID-19 cases would still happen."
