Did you check with your district to see how much time you are allowed before you give birth? Last time, I planned on working until Christmas Break( I was due Jan. 6) and then they informed me I could take up to 3 wks before. My disability benefits rep told me I was losing money by working up to the end and to go out earlier( I get paid each day by them even if I get sick leave pay). SO it was better for me financially and physically to go out earlier. Just a tip!
I'm in the same situation...due 3/6, originally debating over stopping earlier but decided to stop working 2/27 (I'm a teacher too). Can you explain how this works? How would I contact my disability benefits rep (I didn't know I had one  ). So, if I stop earlier, I get paid...but with my sick days, right? So doesn't it just make sense to keep working and save the sick days? I'm confused...thank you!

I plan on stopping 2-3 weeks before my due date. So probably the second week of Feb, I will be done.

I'm due Feb 13 and hope to be out the 2nd weekend in Jan. The commute is killing me already.
I am due Feb 13th too- I am planning on working up until the due date- although I already spoke to my principal about using personal days for the last two or three days...

I was a waitress...I have severe m./s so Ive been out of work since 6 weeks and im 9.5 weeks now. I would def like to find a job as soon as I feel better and work till the end.

I am due 12/24 and my last day is this friday, 12/5...Between the swelling, carpal tunnel and the exhaustion, I am sooooo ready to stop! I cannot wait to relax!

I am working till I give birth. The DOE takes away maternity leave/FMLA for any time you take before the birth of the baby.

At 38 weeks. My last day is next Friday.  I wanted to have a week to do my Xmas shopping and get stuff ready and honestly, I am hoping he comes before then!
