Storage questions for bathrooms...
Hi - DH and I are looking into ideas for redoing our bathroom. The room is smaller so we don't have many options. I really want a pedestal sink but am wondering what we'd do for storage. The vanity we have in there right now is big and bulky but provides storage for shampoo, toilet paper, etc. Has anyone else run into the same problem and, if so, what solution did you come up with? TIA!

Re: Storage questions for bathrooms...
What about a special order vanity that is shallower than usual vanities (such as 18 deep vs 21 inches deep)?
We have a very small bath that had a 36 by 22 vanity in there. We replaced it with a 30x22 vanity, although 30x18 would have been even better. And just gaining that 6 inches, plus i picked a style with legs so that it would appear more airy at the floor, made the difference in the room.
I say when you can get a small vanity in there, much better than a pedestal b/c even though they look pretty, not practical if you have no other storage.

You can get a lot of storage over the toilet without any drilling or permanent mounting with a SpaceSaver, or Etagere. Target has some:

There are lots of styles, colors, and designs. They are pretty cheap, easy to put up, and if you change your mind, they come down in a few minutes.

We too have a pedestal sink, but we also have two wall cabinets, but neither are deep enough for tp. Therefore, we store all of that stuff in the linen closet.
