Storing shoes/boots

I have shoe boxes and clear boxes from bed,bath&beyond to store my shoes in my closet....and then I keep my everyday shoes in my shoe closet downstairs

so now that its going to be spring (soon I hope) I hate leaving my boots in the shoe closet cause they take up too much room

I haven't seen boxes that hold boots, do they exist? I wish I hadn't thrown out the shoe boxes they came in

I have those long rolling rubbermaid boxes that fit under the bed. Heels in one, sneakers and boots in the other.

Homemade hangers preserve the shape of tall boots and maximize space. They're created by replacing the knobs on cedar boot trees with large cup hooks, which are screwed into the tops. The trees and boots then hang from a cafe-curtain rod.
