story of my life
So it looks like we are coming back to NY after all. We moved to VA so my bf can go to tech school, not too long before we move he starts thinking maybe this isnt what he wants. Now a week before the school starts he decides he doesnt wanna waste the 25k to go for the year if its not what he wants. How do I tell my family I'm coming home? What will they think of him? Im scared, where are we gonna live....jeez...I hate men. so now we have to go to our renters office tell them we want to break the lease and see what happens... Does that go against ur credit?
I really just want him to be happy, no matter how much it costs. Hes also worried people will think hes a failure.

Re: story of my life
I am sure everyone will be glad to have you back. In life people that live in their shell and don't try anything are failures. You guys made the move down there and it didn't work out. it better that he figured it out now before he wasted thousands of dollars. I am sure that both your families would be willing to help you in anyway. As for the lease you will have to pay something to get out of it and if you don't it will proably go on your credit.

Re: story of my life
I think it makes it stronger to admit it si not for him then to go through something he hates just to save face. I would rather know that it didn't work out then to always wonder "what if". I am sure every1 will be glad to have you both back in NY. We cant make decisions based on what other pple will think at the end of the day it is what is good for you both

Re: story of my life
I guess he is sure he doesn't want to try the school? Usually during the first couple weeks you can try it out and still get your money back. I understand being homesick, but I just hope he doesn't later regret not even trying the school and wondering 'what if...' You'll probably have to pay a certain amount to break the lease (in my mom's complex it is 3 mos. rent), and if you don't pay the fee it would go against your credit.
