Strange Doctor's Appointment Last Night

So, I go in for my appointment last night and the doctor tells me that I was ten points above the "ideal" number on the GD test and she wants me to take the 3 hour test. I took the 1 hour on January 29th (OVER two weeks ago) and hadn't heard anything. I asked if I should have called to find out and she said "No, I don't think you have it, I just want you to take the 3 hour test to be sure" Is that normal?

On the plus side, I gained 3lbs and am up to a total gain of 8lbs (still down 5 from my pre-pregnancy weight) and I got to hear his heartbeat, which is my favorite part.

So, I guess its good I have an extra day off next week and I can go Tuesday to do this test

well congrats on the weight loss, I know thats hard to come by and as for the GD..I have no clue. Im still waiting on results of my thyroid test taken over 5 weeks ago!!!!

I dont think its strange...the DR prob figured that you didnt fail by that much, so he would just wait to tell you....going for the 3 hr is just a precaution to make sure that you def do not have GD.
