Strange TMI Question About Him...
Is there a way to tell by the color and consistency of a man's ejaculate whether or not his sperm count is compromised?

I don't think so.
The easiest thing is to have a semen analysis done. It's the least invasive test that can be done! All DH has to do is provide a sample and bring it to a lab. They will do the analysis and give you all of the information.
Is there a reason you think your DH might have a low count?

No. I was just curious. We, as women, spend so much time analyzing our bodies, our CM and temp, etc. and I just wanted to see if there was possibly a male correlate.

Well the SA is super easy if you are very worried. My DH did it through our primary care physician and we had results back the next day!

i don't know how valid it is, but whe i was in duane reade the other day they were selling an "at home" male fertility.... check-er (it's late, i can't think of the word) that apparently could tell you if there was a problem with his sperm or something along those lines. probably incredibly inaccurate and i would bet only tells you one aspect of the situation (ie count OR how good they are OR how well they move, etc.) but still something i did a double take at.
