Stranger Anxiety.....
Paige has been having some crazy stranger anxiety lately. She has been going through this since 6 months. She is almost 8 months now. Anyway, when people come to close, talk or hold her she cries and cries until she comes back to me. Once she comes back to me the crying stop. She has to really get used to them until anyone else can hold her.
While i am a bit flattered that she wants her mommy and daddy, i feel she need to get used to other people. She is gonna be one of those babies that hide behind their mommy's leg when people say hi to her. She isnt in daycare, my mom watches her full time so i can work, so she is only basically around my family.
Do you think i should join a class or something, so she gets used to other people? Im not one for those classes, especially being that im kind of a shy, intravert. But, if it helps her then i guess i should just do it.

Re: Stranger Anxiety.....
My DD went through phases of stranger/separation anxiety.
1st was around the same age as your DD and it's starting here and there again now (she's almost 17 months)
It's just a phase and totally normal. Don't push her, she'll prob grow out it. It's a real fear to her.
Hang in there

Re: Stranger Anxiety.....
DS went through this around 8-9 months. He seems to deal a lot better lately but he has his moments. I think its just a phase that they will out grow.

Re: Stranger Anxiety.....
My son is like this at 15 months. He cries at first and comes to me. He usually needs time to warm up to them. Does your daughter eventually warm up to them?
