Street/Parking lot cleaning?
I live very close to the LIRR. It is my view from my bedroom window.
This morning at around 3:47 the street cleaner was out cleaning the train parking lot. There was also someone with a hedge trimmer doing his thing.
This is not the first time it has happened.
I understand that the lot is going to be empty at this time but I feel like this is too damn early, especially being so close to a residential area. I am repeatedly being woken up. It is not only on weekdays but there was one time where it happened on a Sunday morning.
Now, before I call the county's complaint line, I just want to know if anyone has info about street cleaning time regulations. I can not find anything online and before I call I want to have some info.
TIA

Re: Street/Parking lot cleaning?
don't know, but I live right by a municipal parking lot in port jeff, and the noise is all night long.
From 12-3, drunks returning to their cars (wonderful, right?!). From 2-5, there are occassional delivery trucks to the restaurants (It MUST be illegal to accept a delivery from an 18 wheeler at 4am ) From 5am-6am, the dumpsters are emptied.... that is super noisy.
Then there are the parking lot cleaners, random motorcycles... it's basically chaos. And you'd never know it if you came by in the afternoon
