Strep?
What are the signs & symptoms without actually going to have the test done? I have had a sore throat for the past 2 days & a girl in my class says she has it. I have a Dr appt on Thursday.

i had strep last winter for the first time. It is so, so painful and at first I tried to fight it thinking it was a regular sore throat.
It is very difficult to swallow, even your own saliva. I was also very, very tired but can't remember if I had a fever. The most obvious sign is you will get white patches in the back of your throat. When I saw those, I knew I needed a doctor. I was put on antibiotics and felt better in a few days.

I know besides a sore throat my kids also get stomach cramps and sometimes even vomit.

feels like you are swallowing glass. swollen tonsils with white pus spots. fever.
