Usually it is work that stresses me so god forbid if I am stressed and it isn't work related coming to work would just push me over the edge !

my job at times distracts me from my outside life stress... its better than me staying home and dwelling on things for sure
but if I'm particularly stressed BECAUSE of work as WELL as outside stress adding up... is I find that I cannot accomplish anything anyhow here, which just STRESSES me more!! So being at work just makes it all worse because I'm so unproductive

When I get stressed work doesn't distract me unless I happen to be really really busy that day. The chances are greater that it affects my work.
I'll either be making phone calls trying to deal with the issue or talking to someone or just harping on it.

My job (fast paced and take a lot of work home as a teacher) just contributes to the stress that already exists (juggling selling one home, purchasing and totally renovating another, taking care of my disabled Dad, and balancing all that with a relationship with DH). Driving is my only me time

Me too.
Half the time I don't even realize that it's getting to me and then it's 4:00, I've gotten nothing done and I have lots to do still.
Of course, those are only on my down days. When I'm facilitating a class I have no choice and I have to push it out of my head or else my classes would get up and leave!!

My job isn't that stressful, so it usually distracts me. Even if I am not that busy, I think about my personal life a lot less than if I were sitting around at home, obsessing about it.

Work usually distracts me from stress...I am a social worker in a nursing home so taking care of other people helps me to not think about my own problems.

Both- I guess ut just depends on me that day- sometimes I am totally distracted by my job that I don't think of the stress, others I get so distracted by the stress that I miss a few steps . . . .

when i have a lot of stress in my life, my job is definately a lifesaver. I have 21 students that depend on me. I cant let it get to me.....They were my lifesaver during my break up last year.
