Stretch Mark Cream
What kind does everyone use? I was using Palmer's Coco Butter until I broke out in a rash from it. now I'm using Aveeno Baby but I'm curious what you ladies use.

The smell of Palmers made me sick too! Then once I had the rash, that did it in for me. I never tried the belly butter though

Re: Stretch Mark Cream
I used palmers last time. but i hated the way it smelled. i couldnt do it this time so i got better smelling stuff. I think one is by lamaze and it smells like pomegranite. The other i think is tummy honey butter, or something like that. I got it on diapers.com when i was ordering diapers for DD

Re: Stretch Mark Cream
I hate to break it to you, but from everything I have heard, if you are going to get stretch marks, you are going to get them no matter how much lotion or cream you use.
I believe a lot of it has to do with heredity. If your mom got stretch marks, there is a good chance you will get them too.
My mom didn't have them and I didn't use a drop of lotion on my stomach when I was pregnant with DS and I don't have a single mark.
Let's see what happens with this pregnancy... 32 weeks and so far nothing... and I have not been using any cream.

Re: Stretch Mark Cream
I use Mother's Special Blend, ordered it online. You can get it on amazon too I think. I started around week 10 and still use it. I'm 35 weeks and still no stretch marks, but I still have 5 weeks to go!

Re: Stretch Mark Cream
I have the Palmers Stretch Mark cream-I only get the sample size because I detest the smell. I was planning on getting something else, but I don't really know how true the whole cream prevents stretch marks thing is. If it is, I am going to switch to something that doesn't make me want to hurl.

this is not always true. my mom has Horrendus stretch marks she used cocoa butter. I figured I was doomed. I used a combo of Mustela and (olive oil toward the end) I didn't get one mark so use as much cream/ oil as possible and hope for the best/

I believe this is true. My mom only got one stretch mark with both pregnancies. I barely used any creams my whole pregnancy (I tried Palmers maybe 4 times and that was it) and I didnt get any stretch marks at all.
My friend bought CVS out of creams she applied them so much and she STILL ended up with a stomach full of stretch marks.
Its hereditary. If you're going to get them, all the cream in the world wont stop them.
