Stretch Mark Creams
Ok...so I know that stretch marks are due to genetics and either you get them or you don't...but has anyone had a GREAT CREAM or treatment to help reduce/prevent them? I only have them on my boobs and my inner calf muscles...but I HATE THEM! I have already tried Mustela.
Any advice??? TIA!

Re: Stretch Mark Creams
its funny b/c i swore that the creams were just a myth and that they did nothing yet i used from the beginning anyway. the only place i did not put the lotion was on a** and that is the only place that i have got them!!! so IMO i think the cream works. i use the Palmer stretch mark one.

Re: Stretch Mark Creams
I have been using the Palmers cocoa butter and SMEARING it all over my body.
My friend swore by that while pg and she didnt get any stretch marks and made me run out and get it.
I end up smelling like a cookie when im done
Palmers also make one esp for stretch marks.

Re: Stretch Mark Creams
You can rub all you want but if you are genetically prone to get them you will.
The cream will help with the itching

Re: Stretch Mark Creams
Palmers works and it is cheap. I tried Mustela also, and was disapointed because it is way more expensive, and doesn't work. I also tried Strivectin, and that didn't work either and it cost 100.00

Re: Stretch Mark Creams
I'm using the Palmers Stretch Mark Cream and I don't have any yet...knock on wood.
I've got about 5 weeks left so I'll let you know if it works then.

Re: Stretch Mark Creams
Granted, I seem to be the kind who doesn't get them...but in my first pregnancy, I slathered my whole body in "Udderly Smooth" or something like that...it's "udder cream" but not really. the jar has the black and white cow motif on it. i did get them on my boobs...but from what i can remember, that's probably the one place I didn't put it...but after listening to my grandma, I'm pretty sure I just don't get belly stretch marks [she had all her babies in under 8 hours...my first took 4].

Re: Stretch Mark Creams
I used Palmers, then I felt I needed something more throughout the day, so I carried around a stick of cocoa butter. Nothing helped me.

Re: Stretch Mark Creams
I used Queen Helene Cocoa Butter in the tub sold at Kmart after my showers and Palmers anti itch oil at night before bed.. My mom had nasty strethmarks and I didn't get one. I don't necessarily believe its all genetic. Might as well give it it try and moisturize like crazy.

Re: Stretch Mark Creams
i have been using vaseline's version of cocoa butter and its great so far, i have palmers too but the smell makes me sick, this one is a lot less fragrant i already have stretch marks from gaining and losing weight over the years so i know i will prob end up with them after the pregnancy (the only place i dont have them now is my stomache), but i am still using creams just to keep my skin soft and moisturized

Re: Stretch Mark Creams
Do stretch marks show up after the pregnancy...when your belly goes down. I use Palmers for stretch marks and don't have any 36 weeks..
