I know its probably a pipe dream- is there any cream I can start using now that will reduce them?

Re: Stretch Marks- BTDT Moms please!
I honestly think it is a genetic thing. I have gotten them in the past (from a weight gain in college) and REALLY wanted to try and avoid them with this pregnancy. I used Palmer's oil, but they are just all over my belly

I have been applying lotion from day one and still noticed them on the sides of my belly button. IMO, there is nothing you can do

Basically it's genetics. if you are going to get them, you are going to get them.

I check the mirror almost every day to see if I have any, but luckily (knock on wood) at 32 weeks in, I've avoided them! My mom said she didn't really get them at all, so I'm hoping I inherited that from her.

Re: Stretch Marks- BTDT Moms please!
i use palmers in the morning and bio oil at night, nothing yet but i have still have some time they may appear b/c i keep growing a lot these past few days.. I let the cream and bio oil air dry before putting clothes over belly. i also read drinking a lot of water helps the elasticity in your skin to stretch easier.

I followed this and I dont buy the genetics thing because I AM prone to them (have them from gaining weight in college) but didnt gain a single one from two pregnancies (where I gained 45 & 50 lbs) with this regimen! I swear by BioOil!

I also believe its all GENETICS. I delivered twin three weeks ago and ZERO stretch marks! I have three older sisters and they also had ZERO stretch marks. My mom didn't have them either.

It's probably genetics... but I use the mustella cream (very $$$) and nothing yet at 33 weeks.
