Stretch marks cream
You can't avoid them. It's hereditary and all the creams in the world won't keep them away.

Re: Stretch marks cream
I used a combo of olive oil (apply first), and Mustela cream (over the oil) . Everyone in my family has them, I didn't get them. I have old ones on my hips from when I was teen as well.
Drink water, apply twice a day, and gain slowly.
My old boss (and my old coworker) told me to do this (didn't have any marks), worked for both of them.
To add: I got a few small new ones in the beginning (I was not using the above). I went back to the oil and mustela and have no new ones many weeks later.

Re: Stretch marks cream
Don't bother. I have had stretch marks come and gradually fade away after pregnancy. Had I used creams I would have falsely attributed the fading to the creams working.

Re: Stretch marks cream
I never got them but oddly enough I did get them on my boobs and hips as a teen going through puberty. I thought that meant I would definitely get them on my belly when I had babies but nope. I'm 23 weeks on my third, I get a HUGE belly when I'm pregnant and not a single stretch mark. So you never know.
I doubt the creams help but you can try if it makes you feel better. I used the Target knock off of Johnson's Baby Lotion when I was pregnant with #1 on occasion and from time to time with #2 but I don't think it did much. I haven't used anything yet this time and probably won't unless my skin gets dry or itchy.

Stretch marks cream
I've been using coconut oil the entire pregnancy and don't have them - yet. My mother had them early in pregnancy and is shocked I don't have them. They may very well be hereditary but I'm doing what I can to combat them. I had two friends that used coconut oil and genetics or not, they didn't get any stretch marks.
I have also heard that exercise, hydration, and not gaining weight too fast helps -- all things I'm doing as much as possible.

Re: Stretch marks cream
I've been using Cocoa Butter Cream for Stretch Marks... though it says right on the bottle not proven to prevent stretch marks but that it may lessen the appearance. At least it smells lovely.
ETA: So far, no stretch marks at 24 weeks.

Re: Stretch marks cream
I got them a week before I delivered my first. You can't avoid it, though, so save your money on the creams.

Re: Stretch marks cream
People say they are based on heredity, but both my mom and sister have them and I don't.
I religiously used Palmer's Tummy Butter 2 times a day every day from week 10-delivery.
I will say I think some of it has to do with weight gain. I was pretty disciplined with my eating and exercising.

There is no harm in using oils, they are cheap and effective from what I hear.

Re: Stretch marks cream
I've been using the Burts Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter. Not sure if it's working, but it feels nice to moisturize the belly especially now that we're getting into dry winter weather. So...we'll see what happens! No marks just yet (almost 31w).

And I used nothing at all and never had one. I swear it's just heredity and luck one way or the other

Stretch marks cream
They're hereditary. I used nothing and didn't get a single one. Neither did my mom.
I heard somewhere that cocoa butter should be used in moderation because it contains caffeine. I call bs, but that's what I heard.

Same! I thought I was in the clear and BAM! they showed up on the underside of my belly that last week.
