Re: Strike Spinoff: How are you getting home TONIGHT?
I have a friend who has an apt a few blocks from my job. I will be staying there tonight. Although the situation sux, I am going to make the most of it and she said we're going to have a girls night!!
I think DH is going to miss me, though.

Re: Strike Spinoff: How are you getting home TONIGHT?
I think I am going to leave my car here at my garage in the city and take the LIRR home.
Then i'll take the LIRR back into work tomorrow... and since I have to DJ tomorrow night... then i'll drive home (at midnight when the traffic should be much easier).

headed to the LIRR right now to Forest Hills I'm in FH, too... curious how your commute (roundtrip) went today? I stayed at home today, and am wondering what's in store for tomorrow.
TIA!

Re: Strike Spinoff: How are you getting home TONIGHT?
I left my office at 2pm and walked 27 blocks back to Penn (no cabs/cars available). Penn wasnt too bad at all at about 3pm. I found the entrance for my LIRR line and went right in. I waited about 10 minutes, my track was announced and I got a seat on the train.
We (me and "Wigglie") will NOT be going to work tomorrow if they are still striking.
I'm home now, watching the news and Penn is a DISASTER! I feel bad for anyone stuck there right now (which would have been me if I didn't leave early).

I was thinking of all of you and hoping that you left early. Watching the news and seeing Penn Station is a nightmare. Glad you got home ok Kathy
