Stroller help needed!

Hi ladies, I'm really needing some help deciding on a stroller. This registering process is much more overwhelming than I thought it would be!

I already registered for the Baby Trend Snap N Go to use with the Graco Snugride. Now I'm needing help with a regular stroller. I would use this stroller at the mall, walks around our neighborhood, for taking Chat Icon to the beach, and I'd also bring it with me to visit my family in Florida several times a year.

Here's my wish list:
-lightweight
-has carriage seat
-possibility of adding 2nd seat for another baby (we will start trying for 2nd baby when Chat Icon is 5-6 months old)
-not too difficult to open/close
-reclining seat

Any and all opinions would be great! TIA! Chat Icon

I was just checking out the Uppababy Vista 2009 model this weekend. I think the 2010 model (due out later this month) fits all of your requirements, except that it's not exactly lightweight.
The option for the second seat is sold separately. It's called the Rumble Seat.

Check it out!

No more than $600? I'm seriously considering the UppaBaby Vista, but the Bugaboos are out for me because of the price.

I really want a good stroller that can last me through 2 kids. Space is also an issue at my house - I don't want to end up with 3 or 4 different strollers, I'd rather have one that does it all!

i was going to suggest the Vista Chat Icon Chat Icon The 2010 is $679ish, the 2009 is on sale for $579. The major difference is that the 2010 reclines completely flat and sits up to 90 degrees. Also, they have imporved the break system and materials used in the stroller Chat Icon

Do you know if it comes with the carriage seat, or do I have to buy that separately?

If I used a BBB coupon, that would bring it to below $600. I might just have to register for it. Do you think it will be available in store soon? I'm having a small shower in Florida and they don't have BBB down there so I would probably have to buy it myself.

I think that brand is excluded from the coupons.

Re: Stroller help needed!

honestly, i wouldn't worry about adding a second seat...you never know what DC1 will like when it comes to a double. if you plan to take the stroller to the beach, you should get a jogger. they are fabulous all around strollers anyway. you can always email kelly at joggermom and ask what she suggests. she's wonderful! you can always get an all terrain radio flyer wagon for the beach too...they go over sand, you can put DC or DC's carrier in it, plus all your gear. it's good to have a single stroller when you have a second child b/c sometimes you will only take one out or you will have one and DH/grandma will have the other.

yes, it comes with the bassinet! Just look at the fine print on the coupon, many of the popular name brands are excluded Chat Icon It should be in stores for registering within the next 4 weeks (I was told Chat Icon )

Re: Stroller help needed!

there is also the baby jogger city select (that can turn into a stroller for 2). buuuut i havent seen it in person anywhere...just online. its a little cheaper than the uppababy.

btw...im not sure if u can use the coupons on some stroller brands...uppababy was excluded on the coupon i was looking at. but maybe there are some that get mailed without exclusions????

ETA: I just called the buy buy baby in garden city to see if they had either in to test (since we're looking at both) and they said sometime this month.

I'll definitely look into that one too.

I didn't think to look at the exclusions on the coupons. However, it does exclude All Clad and every time I've every purchased All Clad at BBB they always give me the 20% off. It's worth a shot if I have to buy the stroller myself!
