stroller question
Hi!... I am so undecided about what stroller to get... I am tossed between the Graco and the Chicco.... Chicco is better rated, but it seems as though everyone is getting a Graco and there is not much information out there on the Chicco from real moms... what do you have or register for and why? Thanks! :)

Re: stroller question
I didn't register for either of them, but my guess would be that more people are registering for the Graco because the Snugride carseat gets such great reviews...??????????

Re: stroller question
we are doing the Graco snugride withthe the snap on frame based on the reviews and recommendations in the Baby Bargains book. ( based on talking to people) It also seems convienent in the beginning.
FOr when the baby gets a bit bigger,we are getting the Maclaren Techno based on recommendations from friends.
I am sorry that I am not very familiar woth the Chicco stroller

Re: stroller question
I had a hard time with this as well. Did you test them out? I went to BRU and test drove them all and made my decision after that.
At first, the weight was most important to me, but none of them felt super "light" to me or super "easy" to manuever. So the weight issue went out the window and I picked one that was some where in the middle weight wise and one that I liked the look of. I wasn't crazy about any of the Graco's patterns. I liked the Chiccos but not as much as the Peg Peregos. So, I ended up w/the Peg Perego Centro...which was a bit heavier than the others but I love the way it looks. After I registered for it I was still undecided and went back to the store like 3 times to look at it, test it, etc...and I ended up sticking with it.
I also got an unmatching infant seat (the graco snugride) to use w/the snap & go.

Re: stroller question
I'm the minority here. I registered for the Chicco. I liked the colors better, I just didn't like any of the patterns of Graco. And the strollers seemed a little better made to me (cortina vs. metrolite). The car seat wasn't THAT MUCH heavier. And I like the new c4/Trevi that is coming out. That works with the car seat too.
Trevi-- (new colors too!)
I also read mom reviews on Baby Bargains, and a lot of people are giving the Chicco good marks. You can check out the Graco reviews too.
Check it out: Chicco Reviews

Re: stroller question
We registered for and got the Chicco Cortina Travel System and LOVE it!
We don't have the baby yet, but have been practicing with my old cabbage patch kid!!
I find it very easy to collapse and open up. I also find it very easy to use the infant car seat, getting it in and out of the car and the stroller.
Not sure if that helps you, but that is the one we love!

I basically did the same thing...
As a BTDT mom I can honestly say that you really dont know what you will need until after the baby is born..I'll probably wind up with another stroller some where down the road.
