Stroller Recommendations

Since DS was born, we have been using the Snap n Go with his infant car seat. I want to start shopping for a stroller for him soon though.

Basically, I want something that is easy to fold up and transport, yet can stand up to long walks. I like to walk a lot with him when the weather is good.

TIA!
P.S. No plans for 2 under 2, so a single stroller is fine!

Re: Stroller Recommendations

This is Kristina's stroller and carrier... The Graco Quattro Tour Deluxe system.

I have taken her on 2 mile walks, and she slept the whole way... She's very very very happy when we go for walks!!!!!!!

Same here - you can fold it with one hand and it is supposedly lighter than most.

Re: Stroller Recommendations

I have the peg preggo centro which I really like but I dont know if is been discontinued or not.

I liked the pliko 3 but felt the basket underneath wasnt accessible enough.
And when I was in the store 2 women came in to get the quattro tours to replace the metrolites that had the both said "fell apart"
For something more lightweight but a bit above the umbrella stroller I would probably get a MacLaren.

Re: Stroller Recommendations

Just wanted to add that I liked some of the Maclarens, but decided against it when Baby Bargains said that if the mechanisms aren't closed exactly correct, they can bend and be permanently stuck that way. Since DH can be a bull in a china shop at times, he and I both thought it might not work for us.

Any Maclaren users have trouble like that?

Thanks for the suggestions! I was thinking about a Maclaren possibly, though I'll keep the Baby Bargains criticism in mind. Yeah, I do want something above an umbrella stroller, but still pretty light. Also with a good carrying compartment since I sometimes walk to stores with DS.

You've all given me some brands to keep in mind though once I start looking. Thanks again!

Re: Stroller Recommendations

I have two.

Peg Perego Aria
pros: weighs 9 lbs, one hand open/close, one bar (not two handles), child tray, recline almost fully
cons: not easy to recline smoothly, piece broke off already, adult cup holder is a joke

*luckily I had buyer protection from BRU. They sent me a check for the full amount and I bought another stroller and kept the Aria.

Chicco Cortina
pros: solid, bigger wheels, smooth ride, comfy seat, reclines fully, three position fiit rest, full tray for baby & mom, one bar (not two handles), l;arge basket
cons: weighs 23lbs, large in trunk, has an annoying sqweak I have to Wd40

Overall, I like both strollers and use them both interchangably.
