Strollers-Travel systems
Hi, I am 6mths pregnant with my first baby-due in Feb and wondered can I get some feedback from all you moms on the types of strollers you bought and if you liked them!
I have done some research but to be honest there are so many out there its all too confusing and I would rather hear from first hand experience than from what the tell you on the website.
I live on long island so will not have to worry about getting it on and off the subway. I dont know how much walking I will be doing with my new baby in feb/ march but hopefully in April. I have seen the snap and go systems and wonder if I should just use this for the first few months and buy a jogging stroller then - I love the three wheel strollers.
Most of the jogging strollers I have looked at are only for when the baby is bigger. My sister has a travel system with the pram, car seat and regular upright stroller attachment but she lives in europe and it would probably cost me a fortune to get one of them over here.
Sorry so long winded......
Any advice? TIA

Re: Strollers-Travel systems
I am currently using the infant seat with the Snap and Go (my daughter is 10 weeks); I think it's so easy--it's small and fits in the trunk easily. It's also easy to open and close. I have the Peg Perego Pliko P3 when she grows out of the seat.
I can't compare it to a travel system because I never used one; however, I didn't consider registering for one because my sister and several friends told me they were too cumbersome--my sister got a Snap and Go the second time around. The Baby Bargains book practically begs you not to buy a travel system too.
It sounds like the Snap and Go is the one for you because of the jogging stroller you want. Try both of them out in the store and see which one works for you.
Good luck in your search!

Re: Strollers-Travel systems
Thank you! I had heard also that the travel system was heavy and I guess I was worried that the snap and go would be really light for walking but from what you say it sounds like that is how I should be going and then get the joggin stroller later.....thank you so much!

Re: Strollers-Travel systems
This is not a stroller, but I just invested in THE best baby carrier....wish I had it sooner. I found it while on a search to see if a carrier existed to carry my 1 year old piggy pack. It is a great option if you don't want to lug a stroller.

Re: Strollers-Travel systems
I have a Graco travel system. It is the "Glider Travel System With Diaper Bag & Extra Base - Wellstone Print" and I am actually really happy with it. It isn't even the metrolite stroller which I've tried because my sister has it but it's still very easy to fold up. It has a red button on the handle and you twist the button up and it just collapses and I just grab it by the two hooks in the middle and put it in the car. It's super easy as far as I'm concerned -- and I like the fact that the infant seat goes right in it -- and that I can also use it later on.
I guess the snap n go things are supposed to be lighter but I don't find mine all that bad, and I like knowing that I'll get use out of it after my daughter grows out of the infant seat.

Re: Strollers-Travel systems
I didn't purchase a travel system just a Pegperego car seat (which we hated) and the pliko 3 stroller. I mostly used the snap and go when he was smaller which was great but now I use the stroller and I hate it, I wish I had bought a travel system. The Graco car seats are the most comfy (imo) and the strollers have nice amenities for the parents.

Re: Strollers-Travel systems
I have the Eddie Bauer travel system and I hate it. In terms of look and functionality it's fine, but the stroller is so freakin' bulky. I really wish I just purchased the infant seat and the snap n go carrier and then purchased a lightweight stroller later.

OH I AGREE!!! I had a regular Graco.. I liked the fact that you could put the infant seat right onto the stroller.. but the thing was fricken huge!!! More of a PITA than a help..imo..
