Stuff that hospital provides????
Just curious, but while you are in the hospital after you have your baby, does the hospital provide 1) undies (I heard they are netting, but do they give you many pairs???) 2) maxipads (again do they give you many?) 3) diapers and formula for the baby or do you have to bring your own?

Re: Stuff that hospital provides????
They did not give me underwear. I bought a ton of cheap ones beforehand. I had a c-section and brought 10 pairs.
They give you plenty of pads and more even to take home.
They supply everything you will need while at the hospital to care for your baby.

Re: Stuff that hospital provides????
I was at Winthrop hospital, and for the baby they provide everything, diapers, formula, wipes, vasiline, tshirts, pacifier ect...
They gave me 1 pair on disposible undies, I used my own after 1 day and a pack of huge pads, you could ask for more as well, but I liked my own after the first day anyway

Re: Stuff that hospital provides????
i had her at good sam in west islip
1) undies (I heard they are netting, but do they give you many pairs???)
they did not give me any, i was naked for a day under there, but i recomend high cut granny ones for comfort!
2) maxipads (again do they give you many?)
they gave me some weird ones i brought a huge bag of my own...
3) diapers and formula for the baby or do you have to bring your own? they supply all of this for you, what i heard of people doing is empting the bassinet everytime they brought it back to the room, formula diapers things like that..... Madison was in NICU so I did not get to do this, but at the end they gave me ample supplies to bring home with us!

Re: Stuff that hospital provides????
I gave birth at NS Manhasset both times.
They did not give me those mesh undies.
Maxipads - a whole bag of them, and if you need more just ask. They are huge, but good for the first few days when the flow was heavy (at least for me it was)
Diapers, formula - provided by the hospital. They give you the wipes you need to wet yourself, I brought my own sensitive ones from home. For my son they also provided vaseline and gauze for the circ. I was not offered a pacifer either time.

Re: Stuff that hospital provides????
NSUH Manhasset didn't provide the underwear. They provided you with pads but never gave me any to take home. We took a bunch of disposable chucks though. They gave us formula (nursette) bottles and a few diapers. That was really it.

Re: Stuff that hospital provides????
They didn't give me undies. I bought and washed a whole bunch of big comfortable grannie ones to throw out after the hospital visit.
