stupid follicle question

Do the follicles we grow have anything to do with hair follicles?

I know the PCOS girls have excessive hair growth as a symptom AND seem to grow lots of follies. I dont grow many follies and my hair grows slow and I am not very hairy at all.

Does one have anything to do with the other? Do those of you who are also only fair responders, also have less hair?

hmmm...well Im a fairly poor responder and you say the head of hair I got...LOL....So not sure....But I am not "hairy" in general no, except for the hair which grows a lot and fast.

also keep in mind this fact. Cysts have been found to have inside them, things like lots of hair, teeth etc...I dont know why or how, but they do.

I have enough hair on my head, but my arms and legs- not so bad.

Like I dont grow hair at al on my upper legs and I could shave once every 4 days and be fine.

Yes, I have PCOS and you have me wondering...

I had to pluck more hairs than I want to mention from my chin today I swear one more day and it would be a mini-goatee My eyebrows, if left unattended, look like two dead catepillars (my fraternal grandma's side of the family all had the same eyebrows ) and legs... daily shaving with a men's Schick Quattro. If I skip a day my legs are like coarse grade sandpaper...yuck

When I straighten my hair there is enough hair on the bathroom floor to make a "whole other Tweez" as my DH says. I have to use the dustbuster every time

My PCP had me go for an ultrasound a while ago because he thought I had PCOS due to the hair on my face and arms.

But I don't.

I do have the "symptoms" of hairiness, but I don't have PCOS -- I have really high FSH and I don't think the two are related at all.

But I definitely see a pattern...

I don't think that's a stupid question at all. Actually, I think it's really interesting.

I'm with T. I have tweezers stashed all over my house and I almost passed out when my tweezers got confiscated at the airport once. I made DH drive me to a drug store before we even went to the hotel.

And I have enough hair on my head for 4 people.

I don't know if they are the same follicles - only because PCOS is actually cysts around the egg follicles and I would assume that if there were cysts forming around the gazillion hair follicles I have on my chin and arms, I wouldn't have so much hair.
I do have a major hair problem like Theresa and Leighla - tweezers in my desk drawer at work to kill the wayward chin hair at will - and I personally believe that in my case it's hormone levels that are just slightly elevated, but enough to throw off my whole system.
