Stupid MS Office question

is there an easy way to make a tally?? like for a frequency table?

I realized that my project for my 7th graders (which must be typed) includes a frequency table, and I'm not 100% sure how to make a tally mark. I could use an "l" but how do I show the tally mark that goes across for 5??

thanks!!

Re: Stupid MS Office question

no, you know when you are adding something, you go

l l l l

and instead of putting a 5th "l", you put it across the other four?

I hope I am explaining it okay!

Re: Stupid MS Office question

sorry, I don't think there is a way to do it easily (meaning, there is nothing set up where you could just drop it in or convert from a number to a tally).

Re: Stupid MS Office question

could you use the line drawing tools in word next to auto shapes. Double click on the line tool and make the lines that way?

I think I'm going to have them try that. If not, maybe I can just have them write in the 5th tally carefully.
