Re: Stupid Q about preschool and potty training

I'd say it depends on the school and the age of your child. Some of the nursery schools I looked into didn't require it for their toddler class (2-3) but did for the next class up.

Depends on the school. The school I want DS to eventually go to requires it because they start at 3. Usually schools that start at 2 will allow diapers for the 2's program.

At DS's school, they do not need to be fully potty trained until the 4s class. However, he cannot do any of the "after-school" activities until he is fully trained.

My son's school is just a nursery/ preschool - it is not part of a daycare facility. They do not have to be potty trained. I would say the 2 year old class is in diapers, and the 3 and 4 years olds are not!

Our school they don't have to be. I think the teacher told me that out of the 34 kids in the 2 year old program, all but 2 are in diapers, the other 2 in pull-ups.

Some of the 3 year olds are still in pull ups and getting potty training down pat. But most are trained.

All the programs around me that I have called have said DD would have to be potty trained (and this included the 2 year programs - unless they were mommy and me type preschool 2 year classes).
