Ok, I only know her from the tabloids I read, but what song does she sing and how/when did she become so popular?

I googled her for you. Google is a great tool. Here is her website. Personally, I don't like her voice or her music so while her situation is certainly a spiraliing tragedy waiting to happen, it isn't a musical loss to me if she stops making CD's.

gotcha, I'm familiar with the song, but from one album, she's become the talk of the town??? I know she is a mess, hence what I read in the tabloids.

Is she British?

She has had 2 albums, one in 2004 called Frank and she was like a HUGE teenage sensation here in the UK, then she sort of disappeared for the difficult second album and came out with her latest, Back to Black. She has a song in the charts here currently called "Valerie" with Mark Ronson. She is fantastic.

Yeah, this is the only song I know of that she has...although I first heard of her in the tabloids, and then heard the song.

I never heard her song Valerie so I checked it out on youtube and oddly enough I knew all the words. I was trying to think why I knew it. Then I realized it's the Zutons song. The Zutons didn't do the rap at the start though I think that is what was throwing me off.

Yes, its the Zutons song (they are so cute aren't they?) and its from that Mark Ronson covers album that everyone seems to love. I love that song. I loved the Zutons version and I love the AW one also!
